Panel Construction

Lumitex Uni-Glo^® Fiber Optic Panels are patented, inert light emitting panels, constructed from 0.010" diameter plastic optical fibers. The thin, flat panels are heat and EMI-free and provide superior brightness, longer life and significant design flexibility when compared to other lighting products. The panels can be assembled in a layered fashion allowing light to enter the Lumitex panel through each highly polished fiber end. We apply a computer controlled light extraction process to the surface to create the technology’s characteristic even glow.  Precisely engineered and carefully controlled construction causes light to be emitted uniformly along the length of the panel.
