Machine Vision Application Pictures

Camera Front Lighting. Panels with cutouts for camera and microscope lenses are ideal for front lighting applications. Cables entering from both ends of the illuminated panel may be joined, allowing a single light source to illuminate the entire panel.

Oversized Panels. Custom panels up to 120" long and 24" wide are available. Panels over 72" long must have light brought into both ends.  Typical applications include film, paper, diaper inspection, and sorting and counting systems involving high-speed conveyors. Please consult a Lumitex Applications Engineer regarding your specific applications.

Curved Panels. The panel's thin cross section and flexibility allow their use in curved applications such as conveyor systems or inspection systems with contoured objects. For best results, the curve should be built into the panel.

Line of Light. These devices consist of fibers arranged in a line and pointing light directly at a target.  This is useful for sorting, counting, measuring and object illumination. The fiber can also receive light and channel it back to a photocell for detection and measurement. The lines of light shown here are small (1-1/2" long) and driven by LED's, but they can be made in practically any size and be driven by any light source.
