Use of Other Light Sources
· Light must collimated to be within 52 degrees cone of acceptance
· IR must be filtered glass filter
· Depending on operating conditions, brass ferrule may need to be fan cooled
· Designer is cautioned to pay particular attention to cooling with halogen light sources. Light sources
designed for “glass” fibers will melt the Lumitex acrylic fibers
