Notes for 003384 Blue, 003385 Green, and 003387 White LED's

Ratings at 25 deg C, 20mA.

The LED light output is strong enough to injure human eyes.  Precautions must be taken to prevent looking directly at the LED with unaided eyes for more than a few seconds.

Static Electricity and surge damage the LED's.  It is recommended to use a wrist band or anti-electrostatic glove when handling the LED's.

When forming leads, the leads should be bent at a point at least 3mm from the base of the epoxy bulb.

Solder the LED's no closer than 3mm from the base of the epoxy bulb.  Maximum soldering iron temperature is 300 deg C for 3 seconds.  Maximum solder dipping temperature is 260 deg C for 5 seconds.

The products described are intended to be used for general electronic equipment (such as office equipment, communications equipment, measurement instruments and household applicances).  Consult our sales staff in advance for information on the applications in which exceptional quality and reliability are required, particulary when the failure or malfunction of the products may directly jeopardize life or health (such as for airplanes, aerospace, automobiles, traffic control equipment, life support systems and safety devices.

Life data is based on 20 mA current in a laboratory setting.  Actual life will depend on actual operating conditions.

The specifications of the product may be modified for improvement without prior notice.

Notes for 003018 Red LED:

Specifications at 25 deg C, 20mA.

Maximum soldering temperature is 260 deg C for 3 seconds, solder up to 2 mm from the body of the device.

The lead can be formed up to 5 mm from the body of the device without forming stress.  Soldering should be performed after the lead forming.

Notes for 003383 Amber LED:

Max soldering temperature is 260 deg C for 5 seconds, 0.060 inches (1.59mm) below seating plane.
